Atlanta Braves and Pittsburgh Pirates were his professional teams.
Morton received his big break after playing in the minor leagues when the Atlanta Braves selected him in the third round, 95th overall, in the 2002 Major League Baseball draft.
Charlie began his professional career in 2002 with the GCL Braves.
