Early Life and Childhood

Candice Delong was born in the United States on July 16, 1950. Her age is 71 years.

Candice’s father worked as a builder, and her mother was a housewife. Her father had advised her as a child to pursue a practical career.

She was one of seven female recruits at the FBI training academy in 1980. Candice worked in the FBI’s Chicago office after graduating from Quantico, and she said she used humor to relieve tensions at work.

Candice stated that her three career goals were to “be involved with a high-profile national criminal, apprehend a serial killer, and rescue a kidnap victim alive.”

In 1995, she was chosen as one of three FBI agents to lead the manhunt for Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber.

Over a 17-year period, Kaczynski planted 16 bombs in strategic locations, killing three people. Candice left the FBI in July 2000.
