Soon after, the two began dating, and Collins was a quarterback at the University of Oregon.
The couple married in 2011, roughly a year after they began dating.
They married in Seattle and eventually moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Looking back, the two happened to meet one night at Nikki Beach, a hotspot in Venice.
They both had no intention of being out that day, but Brooke was out because her companion wanted to see L.A., and Andy was there to make sure his pal received a ride.
Anyway, the two saw each other for the first time and instantly clicked.
They eventually took a trip back to Andy’s house after they began talking and expressing their mutual love for sports.
They then swapped phone numbers.
In fact, the couple just clicked and got together after a few tough days.
As a result, on Valentine’s Day in San Francisco, Andy Collins made a move and proposed to Brooke.
Their wedding ceremony was attended by almost 300 guests, however, they did not enjoy a real honeymoon because Brooke had work to complete.

Andy’s Unexpected Death
Brooke Olzendam and Andy Collins stayed in a motel after returning from their property quest in August 2011.
Andy was working on the exercise at the moment, but Brook stayed in to iron the garments.
After finishing her ironing task, she walked downstairs to hunt for Andy after numerous unsuccessful phone calls.
Soon after, she noticed the fire truck and paramedics running over for assistance, and when she couldn’t see him, she returned to her room.
Then she got a call from one of the EMTs, who said Andy had passed out while on the treadmill.
As she raced in, a nurse was attempting to revive him as the ambulance came.
Despite the fact that no one said anything to her, she felt a chill run down her spine as she realized something was badly wrong.

Andy’s autopsy report stated that arteries near his heart were smaller than average, which was the underlying cause of his death.
Following the Funeral
The funeral was held at Andy’s hometown of Zillah, Washington, a week after the event.
What was even more heartbreaking was that the couple had only been married for ten days at the time.
Brooke Olzendam was devastated by this episode, and she was on the verge of quitting her job.
She lay in bed for weeks, not even looking at her wedding photos.
Brooke’s mother assisted her in returning all of the wedding gifts during this period.
She returned to the field almost seventeen days after her terror and breakdown, but this time she felt a serenity she had never felt before.

Andy Collins was Occidental College’s three-time Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference offensive player of the year.
He began his career as a transfer from the University of Oregon, where he played from 2004 to 2006.
He also competed for the United States in the Aztec Bowl.
