Who is Elaine Quijano?
Elaine Quijano, an American television reporter, has built a reputation for herself in her career, but her viewers are more interested in her personal life than her professional accomplishments. So, let’s find out what Elaine’s life is like behind the camera today.
Elaine Quijano was hardly unknown until the Commission on Presidential Debates appointed her to moderate the first and only Vice Presidential debate (CPD).
Although she had already worked for some prominent news outlets, the discussion was a significant milestone in her professional career.
According to Variety, she is also the youngest moderator at 42 years old, having succeeded Judy Woodruff in 1988 at the age of 41.

Elaine Quijano’s Biography
Elaine, who is of Filipino origin, was born in Chicago in 1975.
Her mother is from Batangas, and her father is from Davao City, where the majority of Elaine’s family currently resides.
At the age of 28, her mother came to the United States after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Elaine began as an engineering student but later changed her major and attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she majored in Journalism.
Elaine’s first on-air employment was at WCIA-TV in Illinois in 1994.
She relocated to Tampa in 1998 and began working for WFTS-TV.
Elaine joined CNN Newsource in 2000, where she covered key events such as the US invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the September 11 terrorist attacks.
She was elevated to White House correspondent in 2006 and covered two presidents’ administrations: George W. Bush and Barack Obama.
Elaine eventually left CNN to work for CBS News, where she has been since 2010.
During her time at CBS, she covered major events such as the Boston Marathon bombing,
Superstorm Sandy, the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
Her team was even given an Alfred I. du Pont Award for their coverage of the Newtown, Connecticut, school shooting in 2012.
Moreover, during the 2016 Presidential Election,
Elaine became the first Asian-American journalist to moderate a nationwide discussion when
she presented the Vice Presidential debate between Republican Mike Pence and Democrat Tim Kaine.
Elaine is a CBSN daytime anchor who also anchors the Sunday version of “CBS Weekend News.”
In 2016, she also starred as a news anchor on the CBS program Madam Secretary.

Elaine shared a perplexing image in 2016 in which she wrote about her love in the dark,
and it was enough to reveal that she was in a relationship.
However, she refused to share the identity of the man in the photo and even did not allow her fans to recognize him as she blacked out the image.
