Collaborating with the New York Giants

Despite his zeal, Bill was unable to realize his dream of working for an NFL franchise.

In 1979, the New York Giants signed him after he had contacted other teams and managers.

Bill was hired by the team’s management to serve as the defensive coordinator and reported to head coach Bill Parcells. Coach Bill Parcells won a Super Bowl.

Bill spent 12 seasons with the Giants.

Following the incident, Belichick’s standing within the team slipped.

He asked other clubs whether he could coach them. Instead, he was let go by the Browns’ administration in 1996.

Career
