There are many famous siblings in Hollywood, but you probably didn’t know Josephine Langford and Katherine Langford were related. Josephine is well-known for her portrayal of Tessa Young in the After film series, whilst her sister rose to notoriety as Hannah Baker in Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why.
Despite working in the same area, the two have kept their sisterhood a secret, choosing to keep their personal and professional lives apart.
In fact, if the stars didn’t share a surname, fans would have no idea they were related because they don’t talk much about each other.
The Langford sisters have yet to work on a significant project as a group, which may explain why many people are unaware they are related.
They also don’t use social media much; when they do, it’s to promote their work rather than share personal updates.
Many people believe the sisters have a dispute because they rarely connect on the internet and don’t disclose information about their family and parents.

No, the siblings and their families do not have a dispute.
Instead, they choose to keep their business and personal lives apart.
In an April 2019 interview with W Magazine, Josephine revealed that she and her sister seldom discuss their occupations at home.
“Everyone asks me that, and honestly, the answer is no,” she remarked.
To avoid seeming pompous, we both seem to know what we’re doing.”
Although the sisters’ desire for privacy is understandable, some fans believe there is another reason Katherine and Josephine don’t communicate with one another – they are feuding.
The After actress, on the other hand,
was ready to defend her relationship with her sister.
In April 2019, she told Refinery29 that she doesn’t comprehend the internet and the falsehoods that circulate on it.
“We each started into acting on our own, absolutely independently, having nothing to do with the other,” she noted. We grew up in this home with parents who weren’t exceptionally creative, but we were both interested in creative things.”
Fans’ beliefs were based on the fact that Katherine and Josephine do not follow or have images together on Instagram.
It didn’t matter, Josephine told everyone.
She revealed that she rarely uses Instagram and that no one has ever questioned her decision to follow or not follow someone.
This, she claims, is because everyone recognizes it has nothing to do with important people in her life.
Unfortunately, fans have a tendency to overanalyze Katherine and Josephine’s
words about one other in order to justify their theory of a dispute between them.
Josephine is aware that their relationship is being investigated, but she tries not to let it affect her.
She mentioned a YouTube video that served as “evidence” that she was estranged from her sister.
The film was a compilation of small things she said in interviews that were pieced together.
“I think when you have limited content of someone, and I’m definitely not assisting that,” Josephine explained.
In the same interview, Josephine joked that she and her sister may be the next Elle and Dakota Fanning since she would “100%” do a project with Katherine if given the opportunity.
Meanwhile, Katherine has said less about Josephine than her sister.
In an interview with Fox 5 DC in November 2019, the Knives Out star admitted that she hadn’t seen After yet after its release.
She attributed it to her hectic schedule, but she was determined to see it in order to help Josephine.
“It’s so horrible!” she exclaimed. I have so many films that I need to watch right now, and I have a long list of them, so yeah, I’ll get to it!”
