Following her victory, Force advanced to the semi-finals and became the first female to compete in the national series TF/FC final round in October 2007 at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

The 2007 accident

“I’d never lost someone so close to me.” Eric was more than just a teammate.

He was like a brother to me.” -Force Hood, Ashley

Eric perished as a result of severe brain injuries sustained in a testing accident in Gainesville, Florida.

That, in fact, taught Ashley a much deeper lesson in the world of motor racing.
