Cyrus opened up about how they met after Lil Xan confirmed their relationship on social media.
At the Teen Choice Awards on August 14, 2018, the ‘All Falls Down’ singer told E! News Tamara Dhia that it was all owing to social media.
“Xan entered the DMs. People, it works.
In reality, it did not work.
He DMed me in February, and I hadn’t seen it for months until I noticed he was following me, and I thought, ‘Lil Xan, nice, he’s following me.’ “I’ll follow him back,” Cyrus said.
She then noticed his DM and began talking, which evolved into something more.
The singer revealed that they spent time in the studio together composing music and even hinted at a collaboration.
Cyrus and her boyfriend then released their new song, ‘Live or Die,’ on August 20, 2018.
The song was about their relationship and included romantic lyrics like “When you lay by my side, I see the entire world through your eyes,” and “And one plus one equals two, and I think I’d go nuts without you.”
