However, they became preoccupied with their individual careers, with Righetti landing a role in the 2003-05 TV series The O.C. and Alan focusing on his commercial work.

The actress filed for divorce from Alan in Los Angeles County Superior Courts on February 17, 2017.
Following the finalization of their divorce, the mother was handed custody of their son.

She is enjoying life with her son after her divorce
Righetti has been enjoying her life with her kid since she was granted custody, celebrating holidays, going on trips, and much more.
For example, on September 14, 2019, the Christmas at the Ranch star shared a photo with her kid in which they were sailing across the ocean in a boat.

Similarly, on August 10, 2020, she shared a photo of herself with her child on Instagram.
On a Sunday, the mother-son duo was swimming and climbing trees, according to her description.
