Ann Söderlund and Sanna Lundell’s podcast Inte din morsa first revealed Alexander Skarsgard and Novotny’s connection.
On the February 4, 2022, episode of the podcast ‘Kärlek Utan answer [Love Without Responsibility in English], the two Swedish journalists discussed the friendship of possibly Sweden’s two biggest international celebrities, Skarsgard and Novotny.
The podcast hosts mentioned Lundell being with her actor husband, Mikael Persbrandt, during the recording of Lars von Trier’s new series named The Kingdom of Exodus, in which Persbrandt stars with Novotny and Skarsgard.
“It’s still so strange to me that we’ve discussed it several times that they’re a couple, that they’ve been for several years, and they’re like two of our biggest international celebrities, yet no one writes about it.”
“I find it unusual,” Söderlund stated.
Lundell then speculated, saying, “I think no one has gone out and refuted it.”
But it appears that the Swedish media has simply decided that “we should not talk about this,” fearing that they would never be able to interview Tuva Novotny again. “I’m not sure.”
Following that, Söderlund stated that she had previously discussed her relationship with Skarsgrd with Novotny and that the subject had yet to be made public.
“I chatted to Tuva about it when I taped my mini-role in the Bonus family,” Söderlund explained.
When asked what Novotny’s reaction was when Söderlund said that, the actress informed the podcast host that she, too, is baffled because she and Skarsgrd have been together for several years.

In the end, the anonymous Swede added that they don’t see Söderlund and Lundell lie about Skarsgard and Novotny’s relationship as they wouldn’t “really benefit from lying about it.”
