Alex Wassabi discusses his injury and battle with KSI
On August 6, 2022, Keemstar, the host of the DramaAlert, reported on Twitter that Wassabi had suffered an unknown injury just weeks before the fight.
Wassabi’s injuries were revealed to Keemstar by sources close to Wassabi’s camp.
Since then, the rumors have spread like wildfire. Wassabi addressed the injury rumors on Instagram, confirming that they were true.
Wassabi, who defeated KSI’s younger brother, Deji, earlier this year, was scheduled to face KSI on August 27 but was forced to withdraw.
Wassabi revealed the reason for his withdrawal from the fight on Instagram.
“With all these rumors going around, there are only two things that are true,” he captioned the post. I recently suffered a serious injury and will be returning very soon.”
“You don’t play with concussions,” he added. A new fight date will be announced soon.”
Wassabi was very excited about this fight. He even posted a picture with what seemed like a rebellious comment saying, “One brother could not give me the challenger I crave.
Let’s see if big bro is up to the task. Big Deji will regret entering my weight class on August 27th.”
Soon after Wassabi confirmed the news, Jake Paul offered to fight on the same date but was turned down by KSI.
“I will honor my word to my fans and to my opponent because my word means something different than yours,” KSI tweeted.
“The show will go on on August 27th, and you or MVP will have nothing to do with it,” he added. @jakepaul, have a great night out.”
“What you didn’t know is that we actually contracted another fighter in case you guys pulled something like this,” said another tweet. @jakepaul.”
JJ Olatunji, KSI’s real name, last fought Jake’s older brother Logan Paul in 2019.
He is preparing for his first fight since winning a professional rematch against Logan in 2019.

Now that the fight with Wassabi has been canceled, who will KSI face?
Swarmz will be fought by musician KSI on August 27 at The O2, London, according to Dramaalert.
Brandon Scott, better known as Swarmz, is a British singer and rapper as well as a former semi-professional footballer.
KSI and Swarmz are familiar with each other because they previously collaborated on a song called ‘Houdini,’ which did well.
The reason for this fight, according to KSI’s manager, is that KSI has a private beef with Swarms that has not yet been made public.
“Swarmz decided not to show up to an event he committed to show up to, which was disrespectful,” the manager explained.
He also stated, “He arrived three hours late, which JJ did not like, and Swarmz hates JJ for whatever reason.”
