Aaron leads the Pacers to victory, but the Celtics rally to win the game in overtime
On Friday night at Amway Center, the Indiana Pacers defeated the Orlando Magic 111-106. Aaron Holiday came off the bench for the Indiana Pacers in their win over the Orlando Magic. This is Aaron’s second game in a row with a lead score for the Pacers, giving the club two straight wins.
Aaron contributed 20 points, 2 rebounds, and 3 assists off the bench.
Previously, he scored a season-high 22 points in a win over Minnesota.
He scored 20 points by making six of Indiana’s 11 3-pointers.
His first four shots were from beyond the arc. On Friday, he shot 6 of 10 from beyond the arc.
His six three-pointers were a season-best, and he outscored his season scoring average for the eighth time in a row.
“I’m not used to having good games, but I’m used to shooting the ball and getting buckets.”

With 14.9 seconds remaining, James Ennis III converted two free throws to cut the Magic’s lead to 109-106.
T.J. McConnell, though, clinched the victory with two free throws with 8.7 seconds remaining.
For the Magic, Mo Bamba scored 14 points and six rebounds.
“I’m clearly on the rise, but I need to be tougher on myself,” Bamba, who blocked three shots, added.
On Monday, the Pacers face the Memphis Grizzlies, while the Magic face the Milwaukee Bucks.
The Boston Celtics win in overtime against the Minnesota Timberwolves
On Friday at TD Garden, the Boston Celtics defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves 145-136 in overtime.
The Timberwolves got out to a fast start, leading the Celtics by 12 points in the first quarter.
The Celtics, however, reduced the lead in half with solid shooting in the second quarter.
They scored 32 points while Minnesota only scored 27.
However, Minnesota’s outstanding shooting in the first quarter allowed them to maintain a 7-point lead against the Celtics.
Following Minnesota’s free throws, the Celtics quickly rallied.
With 4:49 remaining in the third quarter, Celtics’ Kemba Walker was called for a foul on Anthony Edwards’ drive to the basket.
Walker then objected to the call, resulting in a technical foul. Brad Stevens also contested the call, but the foul was upheld.
Minnesota took a 13-point lead after converting three free throws off Walker’s fouls.
The Celtics played with much more ferocity.
They made excellent plays to advance the ball up the court. As a result of the free throws, Boston went on a 16-5 run late in the quarter to pull within 92-90.
They also did an excellent job on defense, preventing the Timberwolves from scoring.
The Celtics then scored 11 points in the fourth quarter before the Timberwolves forced overtime.
Finally, the Celtics took control of the game throughout overtime and defeated the Timberwolves 145-136.
Jayson Tatum scored 53 points on the night, becoming the youngest player in team history to do so in a single game.
He was also the first Celtics player since Larry Bird to score 53 points.
Tatum concluded with a double-double, scoring 53 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and dishing out four assists. Jaylen Brown also had 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists.
Marcus Smart also had 24 points, 6 rebounds, and 8 assists. Kemba Walker led all scorers with 17 points.

D’Angelo Russell drives the Timberwolves into overtime
Karl-Anthony Towns, on the other hand, had a double-double with 30 points, 10 rebounds, and 7 assists.
Coming off the bench, D’Angelo Russell led the Timberwolves with 26 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists.
Russell scored 19 of his 26 points tonight in the fourth quarter and overtime.
He also hit a three-pointer with 8.6 seconds remaining to level the score at 124, sending it to overtime.
Meanwhile, Anthony Edwards had 24 points, 5 assists, and 5 rebounds.
Similarly, Josh Okogie scored 16 points and Jade McDaniels scored 11.
With the win, the Boston Celtics improved to 27-26, seventh in the Eastern Conference, and will face the Toronto Raptors on Monday.
Meanwhile, in Target Center, the Timberwolves take on the Chicago Bulls.
