In 1979, Aaren Simpson was two years old when she was discovered unresponsive in a family pool.
According to the record, Aaren’s mother dragged her from the pool and took her to UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.
On August 26, 1979, eight days after being admitted, O.J. Simpson’s 23-month-old daughter died.
The hospital administration made the announcement on August 27th through hospital spokeswoman Billy Williams. She stated that Aaren died as a result of respiratory failure.
Meanwhile, the girl’s father, O.J. Simpson, made a statement on her behalf, saying: “My heartfelt gratitude and appreciation go to everyone around the country whose prayers, cards, phone calls, and well-wishes supported our family.”
Before her death, her parents divorced
O.J. Simpson and Marguerite L. Whitley, Aaren’s parents, were high school sweethearts.
Simpson married Whitley on June 24, 1967, after a brief romance.
They had been happily married for almost a decade and had three children.
But, as O.J. rose to become one of the best NFL players, his marriage began to shake.
Simpson’s rising notoriety led to the breakup of their marriage in March 1979.
Simpson told People magazine shortly after their divorce that his growing notoriety had become a hindrance in his marriage to Marguerite.
He said there: “Our biggest issue was the cost of fame. My wife is a private person, but we can’t stroll down the street without making a scene.”
O.J. Simpson and Marguerite Simpson had already divorced when their two-year-old daughter, Aaren, died.
Aaren Simpson’s father and mother both remarried
After their divorce in 1979, O.J. and Marguerite remarried. Meanwhile, Marguerite has been married twice since her first marriage ended.
Marguerite initially married Rudolph Lewis, a transportation supervisor, in 1986. Her marriage to Lewis ended in 1991.
She married Anthony Thomas, a furniture sales representative, in 1992. Following her divorce from her first spouse, Marguerite has kept her lifestyle under the radar of the media.
As of now, there is no indication that she is still with Thomas. On the other hand, Aaren’s father, O.J. Simpson, married Nicole Brown, a nightclub waitress. While Simpson was still married to his first wife, they began dating.
According to many internet tabloids, his friendship with Brown was one of the primary reasons for their divorce.
Simpson and Brown have two children, a daughter named Sydney Brooke Simpson and a son named Justin Ryan Simpson.
They also divorced a few years after the birth of their second kid. Nicole Brown was found stabbed to death outside her Los Angeles home in 1994, along with a female friend.
