A Simple Joke Led to Simone Biles Building Up $50 Million Net Worth

Simone Biles

Simone Biles’ $50 million net worth is the result of a simple joke

Gymnastics GOAT Simone Biles first became interested in the sport when she was six years old. It’s difficult to see Biles as anything other than a gymnast now that we’ve seen what she’s capable of on the mat.

Biles is the most decorated female gymnast, with 32 Olympic and World Championship medals, 23 of which are gold.

And it all started when Biles was six years old on a daycare field trip.

With an offhand remark and an obstinate middle-schooler, we’ve created a legend.

Simone Biles discusses how she became interested in gymnastics

Simone Biles was never one to sit quietly and relax as a child.

Her grandparents had a trampoline in their backyard, which she enjoyed jumping, twisting, and tumbling on.

Biles’ daycare group went on a field trip when she was six years old.

Bannon’s Gymnastix in Houston, Texas was the destination.

Biles was mesmerized as she watched the gymnasts train and perform.

She started imitating them and eventually executed a back tuck.

One gymnast joked that she should try it on the balance beam.

Biles was far more serious about it. “So I ran up on the balance beam,” Biles explained.

“And she yelled at me. ‘I wasn’t serious,’ she says. But I was going to do it anyway.”

At the age of seven, she performed her first successful back tuck on the balancing beam.

“I Wonder What My Life Would Have Been”- Simone Biles once opened up about her biological mother’s addiction, which impacted her childhood.

One of the coaches, impressed by her potential, sent Biles home with a note asking her parents to enroll her in gymnastics classes.

While the majority of her class began as toddlers, Biles was the eldest child in her class, albeit this did not last long.

Even the coaches were unable to keep up with Biles

Simone Biles rapidly established herself as a force to be reckoned with in the gym.

Her power and fast adaptability shocked everyone.

Notably, when she was a beginner, Biles ascended the rope with just her hands around 15 or 20 feet in the air.

She had to be persuaded to return to the earth.

Biles claimed she could accomplish a standing double tuck after watching another gymnast do it.

When the coach didn’t trust her, she proved them incorrect by landing on her first try.

Biles’ life was altered by a single field trip.

Biles has etched her name in gymnastics history nearly two decades later.

Biles earned four gold medals and one bronze in her first Olympics in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

She won five World Championship all-around titles to go along with a total of 25 World Championship medals.

Her net worth is now $16 million.

Consider what would have happened if the childcare had chosen a museum for their field trip instead.
