Evelyn Braxton’s Children
The matriarch of the Braxton family and creator of the popular television program Braxton Family Values is Evelyn Braxton. She is a loving mother to all six of her children in real life, just as in the show.
Because of Evelyn, her children Toni, Traci, Towanda, Tamar, and Trina of The Braxtons are where they are now.
She has helped her kids in both their personal and professional lives.
Evelyn has always been outspoken and supportive of her daughters’ issues, even now that she is a grandmother to 12 grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one.
Particularly notable is her relationship with her daughter Tamar.
Evelyn started speaking out about Tamar’s abusive marriage to her ex-husband Vincent and went on to say that the alleged abuse was actually ongoing for years.
Recently, Evelyn helped her deal with some terrible things that happened to her when she was a youngster.
Tamar and Vincent Herbert had a contentious divorce
Tamar Braxton and her ex-husband Vincent Herbert went through a difficult divorce
The ex-couple first met in 2003, were wed in November 2008, and welcomed their first child,
Logan Vincent Herbert, in 2013.
Tamar claims that the pair actually had a hidden tale between all of these things.
Just one month before their 9th wedding anniversary, in October 2017, she filed for divorce from him.
A few months later, when she made an appearance on The View,
Tamar revealed that she had divorced Herbert because she believed it to be her only viable alternative at the moment.
She added that the separation was required to provide her son Logan,
who was then 4 years old, with a cozy and caring environment to grow up in.
The greater picture of everything, in my opinion,
is that we owe it to my incredible 4-year-old son to raise him in the most fantastic, loving, and secure home we are capable of providing.
Evelyn Braxton claimed that Tamar had previously experienced domestic violence from Herbert.
He is accused of hitting her hand in an incident that occurred in an Atlanta hotel in August 2016.
Despite staying together following the reported confrontation, their relationship had begun to deteriorate.
And as would be revealed later, the issue went much deeper than simply one incidence of abuse.
Evelyn claimed that she fought for the welfare and safety of her daughter
The Braxton Family Values star said that Herbert and her daughter had a strained connection on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show,
a month after Tamar filed for divorce.
Evelyn made a point of speaking out frequently during the entire video regarding Vincent’s use of her daughter as a target.
She revealed how Vincent used to argue, curse, and call Tamar names in front of his own infant and said that he was a bully.
Evelyn admitted that she was concerned for Tamar’s safety at the time since she had seen the abuse,
which had been on for “a long time.”
She went so far as to express her fear that Herbert would become so enraged that he would harm or even kill her daughter.
Even though she and her other daughters had made Tamar aware of the abuse,
she thought Tamar was still hiding it.
However, Tamar later denied being mistreated by Vincent during an appearance on The Wendy Williams Show in September 2018.
She also said that her mother may have had different views of abuse than she did due to the generation gap.

Tamar received support from Evelyn as well following her admission of child molestation
Tamar shared a significant life fact in the same conversation with Wendy Williams.
She admitted that when she was younger, both sides of her family had assaulted her.
Everyone in her family was shocked by this information, but Evelyn was the most affected.
On September 25, 2018, just a few days after Tamar’s confession,
TMZ was able to snag Evelyn Braxton at LAX and got her to comment on Tamar’s admission.
Evelyn continued by expressing her grief and disappointment at learning of her daughter’s experiences.
She was determined and ready to support Tamar no matter what, though.
Evelyn stated that she would prioritize her child over any other members of the family or
outsiders who were accountable for the terrible event by saying, “Her pain is my pain.”
