Julie Suzanne Chen is a well-known American television personality who is best known as the host of the CBS reality television show Big Brother’s US version. She is one of the longest-serving hosts of the game in any country.

She is also a co-host and moderator of the CBS daytime show The Talk, as well as a co-anchor of The Early Show.

Julie mentioned in a March 2018 interview with Life and Style magazine that when she was a young reporter (age 25) in Ohio, she needed plastic surgery on her eye.

Julie’s news director once informed her that unless she changed her appearance, she would never be a top news anchor.

She had longed to be in front of a camera since she was a child,

and she did modify her appearance through plastic surgery, but the taunting continued after the procedure.

She said that following the operation, she was bombarded with comments such as,

And it was at CBS that she met the love of her life, Les Moonves, the CBS Network’s Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer.

Julie and Les began dating following his divorce from his first wife, Nancy Wiesenfeld Moonves, which was formalized in early 2004.

Julie married her boss, Les Moonves, on December 23, 2004, after a brief courtship.

She married Les Moonves in an intimate wedding with only close friends and family in their private house in Acapulco, Mexico, with no more than 30 guests.

They married in a Chinese ritual, with her walking down the aisle with a penny in her shoe to bring prosperity.

Julie and her husband’s delight more than quadrupled five years later,

when Julie became pregnant with their first child.

On September 24, 2009, she gave birth to her son, Charlie.

Her husband backs her up when she is accused of abusing his power.

The love and mutual devotion between the CBS couple were on full show in 2011 when Julie was accused of power abuse.

When The Talk show’s hosts Leah Remini and Holly Robinson Peete were informed that they would not be returning for the second season, reports of Julie’s violent behavior circulated.

According to a source close to the New York Post, Julie, one of The Talk’s co-hosts, was observed threatening the office workers, saying:

Her husband refused to discuss his wife’s words at the time, but a few weeks later he expressed his full support for her.

He gave a mouth-shutting response to Newsweek. He stated:

Anyone who knows my wife knows she would never say something like that.

Not only did Les put an end to the black clouds floating over his wife, but he also showed the couple’s closeness and the level of trust they share.
