Josh and his Kansas teammate LaGerald Vick were mentioned as persons of interest in a vandalism case by The Kansas City Star on February 2, 2017.

The incident took place in Lawrence the previous December outside of a bar.

A KU women’s basketball player, McKenzie Calvert’s car, and Vick’s ex-girlfriend were all allegedly damaged by Josh and Vick.

She told police that during the fight outside the bar, Josh yelled “for her to get out of the car and that he would beat her ass” before totaling her vehicle.

Josh was charged with one count of minor criminal property damage following a police investigation. On April 12, he was scheduled to show up in court.

Josh apologized for his role in the incident and offered to cover any losses when the claims were made.

Josh was disciplined internally by the administration, according to KU basketball coach Bill Self, after his arrest. Josh’s behavior throughout the event would not, however, result in a game ban.

The player requested a 12-month diversion program in Douglas County Court after entering a not-guilty plea to the vandalism charges.
