Keenan Reynolds was born in Antioch, Tennessee, on December 13, 1994.

His father, Donal Reynolds (a former UT Martin football player), and his mother raised him (Jacqueline Reynolds).

Keenan was inspired to play football by his father, and he began doing so at the age of five.

However, after leading Goodpasture Christian School in Madison to a 27–6 record and successive district championships, he took a significant step toward his ambition.

He not only adored football, but he also admired a variety of other sports.

He was a member of the National Honor Society and raced track and field because of his athletic frame.

As his high school career came to an end in 2012, he graduated with honors and four varsity letters.

Education & Early Years

Reynolds excelled in both sports and academics, and as a result, he was recruited by the Navy, Air Force, and Wofford after graduating from high school.

He drew the interest of many affiliations during his teenage years, including Middle Tennessee State and Vanderbilt.

As a result, he was surrounded by a plethora of opportunities. As a result, he was drawn to the Navy because of its modern facilities and strong football program on campus. As a result, he decided to join the Navy.

Reynolds made his first official play in the year 2012 while serving as the Navy’s fourth-string quarterback.

Reynolds took over as starting quarterback after Trey Miller (his teammate) suffered an ankle injury in the fourth game of his freshman season.

Keenan led his squad, the Midshipmen, to victory over the Air Force. As the third freshman in school history to do so, he was given the title of ‘Starter’ for the final eight games of the season.

His squad suffered its worst loss of the season in the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, losing 62–28 against the Arizona State Sun Devils.

In the Year 2013, Reynolds started the year with seven rushing touchdowns in the game, giving San Jose State the NCAA record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback.

In the end, the Navy won the Armed Forces Bowl over the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders with a 9-4 record.

Keenan had 29 rushing touchdowns by the end of the season, breaking Ricky Dobbs and Collin Klein’s single-season marks.

Navy began the 2014 season with an 11-game winning streak, led by Reynolds. However, he twisted his knee in the game versus Temple. As a result, he was unable to attend the game versus Texas State.

2015

Keenan took a significant step forward this season, setting multiple records along the way.

To begin, he eclipsed Montee Ball by breaking the record for most career rushing touchdowns in FBS history with 78 versus SMU.

Second, at the Army-Navy game, he overtook Andrian N. Peterson by scoring 85 rushing touchdowns, breaking the NCAA Division I record.

Later, with 88 total touchdowns and 4,559 rushing yards, he set new records for most career total touchdowns and rushing yards by a quarterback.

2015

He finished fifth in the Heisman Trophy voting, the highest finish by a service academy player since Navy quarterback Roger Staubach won the award in 1963.

They finished the 2015 season with a 44–28 victory over the Pittsburgh Panthers in the Military Bowl at their home stadium.

This game gave them the distinction of becoming the first Navy team to win 11 games in a season, giving its senior class a total of 36 wins.

2016

Reynolds debuted as a running back after moving from quarterback. The Baltimore Ravens selected him in the sixth round with the 182nd overall pick.

Despite the fact that he was unable to physically participate in the game owing to back pain, he was unanimously elected as the East team’s captain.

It happened during the seniors’ annual All-star game (the 2016 East-West Shrine Game).

Ravens of Baltimore

The Baltimore Ravens signed him on September 3, 2016, and he was assigned to the practice squad the next day. During the final game of the season in December 2016, he was elevated to the active roster.

On April 26, 2017, he settled with a free agency one-year contract tender with the Ravens shortly after the season ended. He was rebuffed by the Ravens on September 1, 2017, during final roster cuts.

Washington Redskins

Reynolds was added to the Washington Redskins’ practice squad on November 8, 2017.

Seattle Seahawks

Reynolds joined the Seattle Seahawks on May 16, 2018, and his trip has been a tad unclear since then.

He was waived and re-signed to the team four months later, on September 1, 2018.

He was then upgraded to the active roster on September 12, and five days later, he made his NFL debut in the Seahawks’ 24–17 loss to the Chicago Bears.

In October, he was waived and later re-signed to the team, as he was in September. On November 24, he was elevated to the active roster for the second time.

Three days later, he was waived again and then re-signed to the team.

Reynolds signed a reserve contract with the Seattle Seahawks on January 7, 2019. For him, 2019 was a year of competition.

He put up a lot of effort to replace Doug Baldwin, but he lost to John Ursua and was waived on August 31.

Seattle Dragons

The Seattle Dragons selected Reynolds in the 2020 XFL Draft in October 2019.

“Keenan is our secret weapon,’ who will play receiver, returner, and emergency quarterback,” Seattle Dragons head coach Jim Zom said.

Prior to the start of the 2020 XFL Draft, Reynolds was selected as the squad captain of a special team.

Though Reynolds kicked off a successful game with extra points in Seattle’s first game against the DC Defenders, they lose 31–19.

The Seattle Dragons canceled Reynolds’ contract on April 10, 2020, as the league ceased operations.

Current Career

After graduating from the Academy, he was considered a naval flying officer; however, the Navy amended their eligibility standards for the field, so he had to join the intelligence department.

He used to be in charge of cryptological warfare back then.
