Peter Schiff is a podcaster, stockbroker, author, financial commentator, and television and radio personality. Peter Schiff is currently the CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., a broker-dealer based in Westport, Connecticut.
Early Life and Childhood
Peter Schiff was born on March 23, 1963, in New Haven, Connecticut, United States of America. Peter’s age is 58.
When Peter was a child, his parents divorced.
He grew up next to his brother Andrew. The family relocated across the country, from Connecticut to Manhattan, then to Florida, and finally to Southern California.
In October 2015, his father Irwin died in federal prison while serving a sentence of at least 13 years for tax evasion. Peter attributes his exposure to the Austrian School of Economics to his father.
On October 20, 2015, four days after his father’s death, Irwin accused the Federal Bureau of Prisons of mistreating him and denying him the usual humanitarian release.
On February 23, 1928, his father, Irwin Allen Schiff, was born to a Jewish family in New Haven, Connecticut. He was an American libertarian and tax resister.
He became famous for writing and promoting literature arguing that the income tax in the United States was unconstitutional and illegal. Irwin’s parents are from Poland.
