On June 17, 2022, MacDowell took to Instagram to share the good news with her fans and followers. Qualley does not use social media, so his mother was present to inform him.
The veteran actress shared two photos of herself with her son and daughter-in-law.
The couple kissed in the first photo, with Qualley’s hands on his partner’s growing baby bump.
There were balloons all over the ceiling, and four large boxes spelled “BABY.”
In the second photo, they looked into each other’s eyes, with Qualley’s hands touching Nicolette’s baby bump and Nicolette’s hands around Qualley’s neck.
They were standing in front of a small lake, Nicolette dressed in a white robe with a pinkish top, and Qualley dressed in blue jeans and a t-shirt.
A long but sweet caption by a proud soon-to-be grandmother accompanied those adorable pictures of the couple.
“My son plants fruit trees, that’s how he has fun,” MacDowell began her caption. Nicolette and Justin are genuine in every way.”
The actress then mentioned how her son and daughter-in-law are always there for their friends and family, which is “pure goodness in the coolest way” in her view.
“Montana provides them with the perfect home and the quiet solitude they deserve,” she adds.
“When so much of the world is looking for attention, they are looking for each other & are waiting for the perfect gift; their child,” MacDowell continued.
Similarly, she stated that her son never looks at his phone and does not engage in social media.
“From the beginning, he has been a blessing and a gift to me.
“The best thing that ever happened to me,” she added before revealing that Qualley and Nicolette are expecting a baby girl.
“AND I am so excited to meet my granddaughter!” she wrote.
As she continued with her caption, MacDowell expressed her gratitude for her three children and their father, her ex-husband Paul Qualley.
“My children are the most important part of my life. They are my greatest teachers, and I am constantly learning from them.”
