Kellie Pickler, an American country music artist, has been married to her husband Kyle Jacobs, a country music songwriter, for about 11 years. On January 1, 2011, the pair, who had eloped after their engagement on June 15, 2010, exchanged wedding vows in a covert ceremony on a private Caribbean island.

The ceremony was only open to a select group of people.

They are about to celebrate their 11th wedding anniversary on January 1st of the following year.

“I adore being Aunt Kellie and that is fantastic for me,” she said in response to the query.

She also cracked a joke when she stated she needed “another drink” to think about expanding her family and wondered if the coronavirus baby boom was “truly a thing.”

According to Pickler’s opinions, her position on not having a kid yet remains unchanged, and it may be some time before the family of two is expanded.

Though she does not have a biological kid, the country singer expressed her wish to adopt one while discussing her marriage to Perez Hilton in May 2013.

During that conversation, she initially expressed that she is open to having her own child when the time comes, which she believes will be in the near future.

She then stated that she, too, enjoyed the idea of adoption and wished to adopt whether she was married or not.

She went on to say that she thought it would be a terrific opportunity to take someone else [a child here] “under your wing” and care for them.

A Brief Examination of Pickler and Jacobs’ Marriage

Pickler had a few romantic relationships before marrying her current husband, including one in 2007 with ice hockey player Jordin Tootoo.

Pickler met Jacobs after her divorce from Tootoo in 2008, and it was love at first sight.

They started dating, and as their relationship progressed, Pickler’s perspective on marriage shifted.

In her chat with Hilton, she stated that before meeting Jacobs, she was the type who never believed in weddings. Furthermore, she had considered not marrying.

“You know it always ends in divorce,” she continued. I just had such a bad attitude about it.”

Everything changed when she met Jacobs and began a loving involvement with him.

After two years of dating, Jacobs got down on one knee and proposed to her on a Florida beach on June 15, 2010.

They got engaged after she said yes. According to People, after their engagement, they eloped and exchanged wedding vows less than a year later, on January 1, 2011, in a “small, personal ceremony on a private Caribbean island.”

Pickler tweeted about her wedding a few days after it took place, adding, “Private Island.
