Mark Bish is a celebrity child. Mark Bish is the late actress Rue McClanahan’s son. McClanahan was best known for her role as Blanche Devereaux on the TV show Golden Girls. She is also well known for her roles as Vivian Harmon on Maude (1972–78) and Aunt Fran Crowley on Mama’s Family (1983–84).

Mother’s Career

Rue McClanahan, Mark’s mother, had a long career as an actress.

In 1987, she received an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Blanche Devereaux in The Golden Girls.

Rue, Bish’s famous mother, was married six times to six different men during her life.

Norman Hartweg, Peter DeMaio, Gush Fisher, and Tom Keel are among her ex-husbands.

Morrow Wilson was her last husband, whom she divorced in 2009.

Even when her days were jam-packed and her son was off living his own life in the 1990s, Rue and Mark maintained a close, loving relationship and saw each other frequently.

Morrow Wilson, his ex-stepfather and one of McClanahan’s former husbands, told Life & Style that he had no choice.

Morrow stated that the Emmy-winning actress’ health deteriorated in November 2009 after a pre-surgery stress test revealed she would require bypass surgery.

That same month, McClanahan was set to receive a lifetime achievement award at the “Golden: A Gala Tribute to Rue McClanahan” event.

However, it was while she was recovering that she had a stroke. Wilson, her ex-husband, described the stroke as massive.

He explained that even though she was discharged from the hospital and returned home, she was receiving round-the-clock nursing care.

She also required speech and occupational therapy. But she showed no signs of recovery.

Some believe the 63-year-old is an artist who works in both modern and abstract painting.
